This is the first Thursday night of the Fall semester. Usually on Thursday nights if I don't have homework due the next day or a test the next day, it's like the first night of the weekend. So tonight's like that. Except I've just been playing around on the computer and whipping my roommates with towels and not really doing weekend party stuff. I don't know what weekend party stuff is. I'm just rambling. Cause I'm bored and not tired and I felt like I should write a new post. My apartment is awesome. It will be even better when we get some more posters and stuff up. And also when we figure out how we're going to fit all of our food and kitchen stuff in the few cabinets we have. Um, so this is kind of boring. I think my own post is boring. Why are you reading this? Why am I still typing? Ok, I'm done. I'll find something better to write about next time.

So I'm not in Greece like I'm supposed to be. Just my luck I found out 5 days before I was supposed to leave that there's a cyst in my mouth and I have to get it removed as soon as possible. So I'm having surgery on Thursday. It shouldn't be anything worse than like getting wisdom teeth removed, so I'm not worried. So I'm pretty bummed about that (plus the fact that my boyfriend is in Greece now and I don't get to see him for 5 weeks). I'm gonna go to the beach in Florida and Disney World with my family after I recover from my surgery. It should be fun. I'm trying to read a lot. And I bought some oil pastels yesterday and remembered how much I like doing pictures with them. So that will keep me busy. So the summer shouldn't be completely horrible. It's not what I planned on, but oh well. Life goes on.

splurge

So yeah it's been a while.... Here goes a bunch of random stuff I've been up to:
Organic chemistry is trying to kill me. I don't care if people say "Elizabethtown" is the worst movie ever, I thought it was sweet. I spend too much money eating out. I'm going to the Renaissance Festival on Sunday for the first time since 6th grade. It's going to be awesome. Two weeks of class and then finals and then I'm done with my second year of college! Woohoo! I'm going to Greece this summer! I'm sooooo excited! I need to get a job in a nice restaurant while I'm home, but I definitely can't be a waitress (no, dancers are not always graceful... they're actually pretty clutzy off stage). Went to the Braves game last weekend. They lost, but it was really nice outside :-) I've discovered that when studying outside on a nice day it's easy for me to get distracted by the nice day. So it's best for me to study inside, but still away from my computer.

a little insight...

So after hearing the "Thong Song" for the first time in quite a while, my roommate and I began to wonder what's so great about thongs. So I decided to ask a friend...

Me: So what's so great about thongs? I'm trying to get some insight here.
Woodhurst: Ah, well. I do have a theory. Bear with me for a second: You know the fresco of God and Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel? And you know it's so great because of Gestalt laws: it's the anticipation of the moment. God is ABOUT to give life to Adam. That's why I think thongs are a big deal. It's ALMOST naked, but not. It's the anticipation, the proximity that men find so arousing.
Me: I can't believe you just compared thongs to the Sistine Chapel.

Yay, new semester and new craziness. I'm taking Physics, Organic Chemistry, Ecology, and Spanish. It's insane!!! And not only do I have all of that work to do, but I'm also doing a show with DramaTech and so I'm gonna have rehearsals to go to. But hopefully it will all be fun. I'm definitely gonna like dancing again. So yeah. And apparently I'm not supposed to be in the Spanish class that I'm in. I'm in the beginner level for people who've never had Spanish before right now. I've had Spanish in high school but the class for those people is full and they won't let me in. Sooo they're kinda stupid. So I guess they'll just have to deal with me doing really well in the class. Too bad for them, great for me! So I dunno what to say anymore. I'm getting kinda bored with this now. It's ADD Friday! hehe
